There’s nothing unusual about experiencing moments of fear or panic. As many as one in six young people will experience anxiety at some point.
A perfectly natural reaction to perceived threat or danger – exams or public speaking to name just two, if the feeling of panic lingers it can start to become a problem.

Symptoms
- Feeling frightened, nervous or panicky all the time
- Constantly worrying, or experiencing negative thoughts
- Difficulty sleeping, or waking in the night with bad dreams
- Not eating properly, poor appetite
- Lack of concentration
- Quickly getting angry or feeling irritable, outbursts that are out of control for the smallest thing
- Always crying
- Being clingy
- Stomach ache and generally feeling unwell
